Rush To The Radio & Throw It At The Wall

It isn't a shocker that Rush Limbaugh has been a lightening rod of controversy for years. This time he may have gone to far when he referred to Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke as " slut" and a "prostitute".  Ms. Fluke is a 30 year old woman studying law at GU and is being demonized by the right for her activism on issues regarding ladybits and women's rights.  They claim we are being played by her because she is really an activist nothing more.. what this means, we really have no idea.

Let's really talk about who is being played here.  The zealots with their ears pitched in the direction of Rush were treated to his claims that birth control mandated to be supplied by health care companies as " another welfare entitlement".  You know, something a "welfare queen" would utilize. So now we have a bunch o' zealots with ears being fed yet another lie by this drug riddled miscreant in a pant suit.

Another part to this nightmare via Limbaugh is now we have people believing that Joe Public is going to paying for contraception for women through taxes (be on the lookout for their misspelled protest signage). This is man who wants to deny women the right to choose if and when to bear children. Remember he has been married four times, by the grace of God.. WHO would marry this warlock? Thankfully he doesn't have any children with these brave and clinically insane ladies, could you image his demon seed running about at the park, throwing children into oncoming traffic? We've strayed from the topic at hand, one could conclude that he himself uses contraception, yes, we too shudder at the mere thought.

There are ways to affect Rush and punish him for his behavior and incendiary remarks. There is a great blog with a list of whom to boycott, check it out PRONTO! Contact his sponsors and tell them, you are done using their products unless they discontinue supporting such vile person, be sure to remind some of them they also sponsor Progressive radio.

Secondly, Ms. Fluke can sue him for defamation of character and force him to show up to court and prove why he referred to her as "slut". This vote this to be a kick ass option. Make this bastard explain why he would refer to an innocent woman in this manner and give her a public apology.  Rush you are a hot mess of a drug addict (no offense to other addicts). You attack women in general with your delusional rants summoning them to hell for wanting to choose what to do with their bodies, now you single one out publicly? You have cojones you disgusting, vile, filthy, scumbag of an asshole. The ladies are taking notice, the ladies stand united and the ladies have bigger cojones then you could even imagine.

A Closer Look At The Warrior For The Right

"Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon?" That is a question proposed by all the elitist collegial educated breed in this great nation. The recent comments from Santorum, that "Obama is a snob because he wants everyone to go to college" strikes us funny, as in crazy funny.

To preface this you must be aware the Santorum has an undergraduate degree from Penn State, a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and a law degree from Dickerson School of Law. Kudos Rick, it isn't Harvard, but you gave it a good shot.

Is it snootish to wish that all Americans have access to a proper education? We, as astute education types couldn't disagree more. The goal of Santorum keeping that carrot o' education dangling is he, and his cronies, would like to see the masses remain uneducated. Please hear us out, many folks are quite smart bubs that don't have a degree or some paper telling them they have sunshine spewing out of their ass. What we are referring to is something Rick & Co exploit and manipulate, called the "Survival Brain".

What Fox News and the likes of Rush-at-a-drive-thru depend on is this section of the zealot's brain. Think about that person in your life and their terrified behaviors. Does this sound familiar :

The ability to act intelligently and coherently under the stress of unprepared TV appearances may be a good test. They want to seize power – from micro (family) to macro scale because it makes them feel more secure. Or they seek jobs with a predictable rule framework, like bureaucracy, law etc
• Intolerance. People that are unfamiliar in appearance or behavior are experienced as unpredictable and unconsciously arouse anxiety, which can calls forth aggressive attitudes against them. Ethnic and religious intolerance are expressions of this weakness.       

Have you sat through any Fox News segment and felt like your anxiety was going to go through the roof and you had to start making your zombie apocalypse kit? "Oh shit guys, come on!" What, you didn't know Obama is really a zombie?

How far will the Right go to fear monger and indoctrinate their followers to say "shit, why should those wealthy folks pay more taxes, we can handle shellin' out a couple extra bucks, put in for that part time gig at Wal-Mart, 'MERICA F*CK YEAH!!"

Santorum and the likes fear an educated voter, because they know they'd have zero chance of election. Keep people afraid and keep them loyal. Educate them and bedlam ensues.

1872 - Yellowstone becomes world's FIRST National Park.

What is not to love about this?  This set a precedent for many more great parks to follow,  here are some facts on Yellowstone that you may find interesting..

-Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-altitude lakes in North America
- Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. The caldera is considered an active volcano. It has erupted with tremendous force several times in the last two million years.
-Half of the world's geothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism.
-Over 1,700 species of trees and other vascular plants are native to the park

Musical Chairs With Olympia Snowe

A GOP we can actually tolerate from the great State of Maine has decided she is not going to run for re-election of her senate seat in November. This is a lady who has voted her conscience the last thirty-three years in Washington DC representing Maine in the House and Senate. Our entire lives, we've heard about the senator with the crazy name.

Now, we aren't going to say we've agreed with all of her decisions, but Olympia is a different breed of politician. A "New England Republican" if you will. She has gone against her party on issues and hasn't towed the line like a Koch Brother Zealot.

Is Olympia another "Republican In Name Only" or RINO as the zealots call them? Ask your favorite Maine GOP and they will say yes. If you asked them fifteen years ago you would have heard a different tune. The political landscape has changed so dramatically that there is no longer room for Olympia in Washington. She has actually sited this as her reason for not seeking re-election.

“Unfortunately, I do not realistically expect the partisanship of recent years in the Senate to change over the short term,” Snowe said in a statement. “So at this stage of my tenure in public service, I have concluded that I am not prepared to commit myself to an additional six years in the Senate, which is what a fourth term would entail.”- Olympia Snowe

Google 'em, there are blogs screaming for her head on a spike because she is the most liberal GOP senator to date. It is truly unfortunate that it has come to this. The division of political parties is only firing up, it is much like Mabel & Salty with a Red Sox/Yankee series.

We bid you adieu Olympia Snowe, we were proud to have you during the good and the bad because you had cojones and stood your ground on the issues. We didn't always agree with you but we knew you had a moral compass. You are the last of a rare breed and you will be missed in the great State of Maine.
